Indian lake is absolutely stunning. Brought kayaks and found many islands to hop to.
Campground was good, but our site was ok. Right in the sun most of the day.

Great camp ground! Sites are very pretty with fire places and a variety of sizes to accommodate large trailers to tents. Bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily. Firewood and ice are available for purchase at the campgrounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a small village about 15 minutes away with a grocery store, gas, a variety of eating places, and a lovely park over looking a lake. Lewey lake has beautiful scenery, a very nice beach and a boat launch. It is great lake to kayak on.
Day use same price as over night. On indian lake camp site 5. Site 4 is way to go. Fishing eh.
I spent a week the last week of July and then again last weekend. And booked a site for this coming weekend. This place is beautiful and breath taking. This is a very well maintained campground. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest campground bathrooms I have seen. The care taker is very active and will help in any way he can. They do not allow black garbage bags... So MAKE SURE you bring White or CLEAR garbage bags!!!! They definitely on top of that.. But its definitely a beautiful peaceful breath taking relaxing enjoyable place.. Its like a Gem in the mountains.
For a family friendly camp it was pretty decent. A little louder during the day and evening g than I liked it but people were respectful for quiet times. Modern shower houses which provided a much needed evening wash. Bathrooms well kept.
We put in at the campground Beach and paddled our kayaks to Indian lake. All around a great spot.

Just spent five nights at Lewey Lake and it was one of the best campground experiences I've had. Staff was fantastic and facilities were always clean, even on the busy weekend. So many good sites and a beautiful lake. Great Adirondack campground.
Our family camped here for memorial day weekend 2021. Although the weather was challenging, the views and quiet camping was awesome. Our site (#107) was tough to get our camper into (we damaged our stabilizing jacks) but the views of the lake and surrounding mountains were absolutely breathtaking. The fishing was good, the kayaking was great, the showers were clean and updated. We will certainly add Lewey Lake to our yearly rotation in the ADK.
